ANA Baggage Drop in Japan: Haneda, Chitose, Fukuoka

Haneda

Haneda Airport
After two successful pilots at Nagoya Airport, All Nippon Airways (ANA) decided to change their way of check-in baggage handling at Tokyo Haneda’s Airport’s Domestic Terminal 2 by implementing Self Service Baggage Drop off with help of Scarabee. The project started with a co-creation process to develop a new BagDrop design, tailor made by Scarabee for the Japanese domestic market and with emphasis on the special needs of the ANA passenger and operational departments.

New Chitose Airport and Fukuoka Airport
After the successful implementation of 39 BagDrop units at Tokyo Haneda’s Domestic Terminal 2 in 2015, All Nippon Airways (ANA) decided to expand their Self Service BagDrop operations to New Chitose Airport’s domestic terminal and Fukuoka Airport. In cooperation with Scarabee’s valued local partner OKI, these BagDrops are similar to the units installed at Tokyo Haneda Airport.

The implementation of the Self Service BagDrop is part of ANA’s “Fast Travel” program. “Fast Travel” facilitates a faster and smoother travel experience by leveraging the latest technology, which will enhance the passenger experience. This fits perfectly with Scarabee’s vision of combining deep understanding of the passenger journey with a revolutionary approach to create premium solutions.

Scarabee’s BagDrops are known for its human centric design, which is easy for passengers to use and empowers staff to deliver the most valued service. The result: shorter lines, less waiting times and a reduced need for staff, meaning happier passengers, smoother travel and smarter business.
