Scarabee is expanding in size, capacity, and expertise. The Baggage Control Systems department is responsible for the baggage systems at Schiphol Airport. As a System Administrator, you will be part of a team of 10 professionals. You will provide technical expertise and contribute to maintaining and improving the critical infrastructure of our clients.
Working Hours
At Schiphol, you will work in a 5-shift rotation, alternating between morning, afternoon, and night shifts according to a fixed schedule to support our 24/7 operations. This means varied working hours, sufficient rest days, and an attractive shift allowance. You will receive a 30% irregularity allowance on top of your salary.
Your Responsibilities
- Managing and improving IT infrastructure, applications, and network assets according to required performance standards.
- Ensuring that system functionalities continue to meet customer quality requirements.
- Analyzing and resolving incidents.
- Participating in projects.
- Supervising and testing system changes.
Who are we looking for?
- You have at least a completed MBO level 4 education in a relevant IT field.
- You have broad IT knowledge.
- You have at least three years of relevant work experience, such as managing complex IT environments or executing various IT projects.
- You have strong communication skills and are fluent in Dutch and English (spoken and written).
- You have knowledge and experience with ITIL processes.
- You are willing to work in round-the-clock shifts.
- You have a strong sense of responsibility.
- You perform best in a high-pressure environment and know how to set priorities.
- You have excellent analytical skills.
- You are proactive and can demonstrate this.
- You have an assertive attitude and a hands-on approach.
- You are eager to learn and willing to master the complex processes of our clients.
- You are flexible.
- You can work independently and accurately.
- You can provide a Certificate of Good Conduct (VGB – Verklaring van Geen Bezwaar).
Experience & Knowledge
- Knowledge/experience with the following platforms: Windows Server, UNIX/Linux, VMware.
- Knowledge of IT Security.
- Knowledge of various server applications.
- Knowledge/experience with networks.
- Experience with workstation management.
- Experience with incident handling according to ITIL is a plus.
Preferred Experience & Knowledge
- Experience with data analysis software such as Splunk.
- Experience with test management and methodologies.
- ITIL certification.
- Knowledge/experience with AIX systems is a plus.
- Affinity with automation in logistics processes.
- VCA certificate.
