As a Mechanical Engineer at Scarabee, you design, implement, maintain, and optimize a wide range of technical solutions. We are also looking for team players who can support our technicians from our headquarters in Hoofddorp.

Your Responsibilities

  • Designing, developing, and implementing new technological concepts
  • Maintaining and optimizing existing systems
  • Collaborating with various departments such as engineering, sales, and marketing
  • Overseeing project implementation and delivery of innovative solutions
  • Responding to technical inquiries from customers and teams around the world
  • Analyzing customer needs and market trends to improve our products
  • Coordinating system changes and testing new updates

Your Activities

You’ll be part of a multidisciplinary product team focused on the further development of SAG products. Within this team, you’ll work alongside the software and electrical departments, where you will be responsible for the mechanical aspects.

  • Drafting functional and technical specifications for mechanical work
  • Conceptualizing new functionalities
  • Creating and refining models and drawings in SolidWorks
  • Developing manuals
  • Supporting other departments on projects, both within and outside the Netherlands

Who You Are

  • You hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant technical field
  • You have at least 3 years of experience in a similar role
  • You are results-oriented, analytically strong, and possess excellent communication skills
  • Fluency in Dutch is a plus (understanding Dutch is sufficient)
  • You are innovative, flexible, and able to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment
  • Affinity with technological innovations in the aviation industry is a plus
