As a Logistics Supervisor, you are responsible for efficiently and effectively executing and coordinating various logistics tasks within the warehouse. You actively participate in the team, but you also have supervisory responsibilities. You ensure that daily operations run smoothly and that the set goals are achieved. You will be part of a growing team with an increasing focus on international activities, alongside national operations.
Working Hours
You will work on weekdays during regular office hours (no weekend shifts).
Your Responsibilities
- Coordinating and planning daily tasks in the warehouse
- Monitoring the progress and quality of work
- Ensuring efficient and safe storage and (international) shipping of goods
- Instructing, guiding, and motivating the team of warehouse staff (3-4 FTE)
- Ensuring good teamwork and communication within the team
- Inspecting and registering incoming and outgoing goods
- Identifying bottlenecks and improvement opportunities in the logistics process
- Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager on progress and any deviations
- Ensuring compliance with applicable safety and quality standards
- Maintaining contacts with other departments and external parties.
Who are you?
- Bachelor’s (HBO+) level of thinking and working, preferably in logistics or warehousing, with 3 years of managerial experience
- Or Associate’s (MBO+) level of thinking and working, preferably in logistics or warehousing, with at least 6 years of experience, including 3 years in a managerial role
- At least 3 years of experience in a similar role within a warehouse environment
- Leadership skills and natural organizational talent
- Experience with ERP/WMS software packages
- Excellent communication skills and a good command of the Dutch language
- A proactive and results-oriented work attitude
- Problem-solving ability and the capacity to perform under time pressure
- Knowledge of logistics processes and systems
- The ability to perform physical work and comply with applicable safety regulations
- A background that allows for the easy acquisition of a Certificate of No Objection (VGB).
