As a Technical Buyer at Scarabee, you will be responsible for procurement, supplier management, and sourcing new suppliers. We are specifically looking for a medior/senior professional (4-8 years of experience) with a strong background in technical purchasing and supplier management. You will support our team by ensuring that all required materials and services are available on time and under the best conditions. This position is based at our headquarters in Hoofddorp.
Your Responsibilities:
- Manage the full purchasing process, from identifying needs to receiving goods.
- Handle supplier management, including maintaining relationships and sourcing new suppliers.
- Actively participate in procurement activities and identify market opportunities.
- Coordinate with internal departments and suppliers to ensure smooth operations.
- Proactively monitor deliveries and address any issues as needed.
- Report to the Supply Chain Manager and contribute to continuous process improvements.
- Work closely with a small, dedicated team to achieve the best results.
Key Tasks:
- Oversee the entire procurement cycle and ensure smooth execution.
- Fully manage the administrative processing of purchase orders.
- Issue calls under existing contracts and negotiate agreements.
- Develop and maintain a preferred supplier base.
- Assess and evaluate supplier quotes and proposals.
- Align technical requirements with internal stakeholders.
- Follow up on deliveries and ensure quality compliance.
- Optimize procurement processes in collaboration with Logistics, Engineering, and Project teams.
Who Are You?
- You have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field.
- You have 4-8 years of experience in technical procurement and supplier management.
- You have strong experience in sourcing new suppliers and contract negotiations.
- You have an affinity for technology and a keen understanding of technical purchasing.
- You are fluent in Dutch and English (both written and spoken).
- You have advanced knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel.
- You are organized and detail-oriented, with experience in process improvement.
- Lean Six Sigma Yellow/Green Belt certification is a plus.
- Certifications such as CIPS, APICS, or NEVI 1 are a plus.
