As an Installation Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, testing, and operational setup of our security lanes and BagDrops at locations like Schiphol and international airports. You ensure that everything runs smoothly and that the client is fully satisfied with the final solution. This is a role with significant responsibility, requiring close collaboration with various departments and frequent on-site work.

Working Hours

Although the installation teams do not work in shifts, you may be required to work evening or night shifts for about 10% of the time annually. You will receive an hourly allowance for this, and during business trips, you will also receive an allowance according to the CAO Rijk.

Your Responsibilities

Take charge of the machine during the testing phase at our site.
Install and commission products at the customer’s location.
Serve as the point of contact for the project/site manager during all project phases.
Ensure a smooth handover and provide operational instructions to the customer.
Troubleshoot issues during the installation and commissioning of the systems.
Travel internationally to customer locations to carry out installations.

Key Tasks

Calibrate and adjust machine components.
Test and debug machine functions based on a pre-established test plan.
Resolve issues in collaboration with the project team to ensure timely delivery.
Draft progress and completion reports for installations.
Successfully complete installations with local technicians within the set schedule.

What You Bring

Higher vocational education (HBO) work and thinking level, with a completed MBO4/HBO degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
At least 5 years of experience as an Installation Technician or Field Service Engineer in the machinery or high-tech industry.
Experience with international projects is an advantage.
Knowledge of PLC systems and electrical component configuration is a plus.
You can work independently or in a team and maintain an overview throughout the installation process.
Safety-conscious with experience working with high-quality products.
Flexibility, willingness to travel, and availability for occasional irregular shifts.
Strong technical insight with the ability to communicate effectively in both Dutch and English.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to perform under pressure.
A proactive and results-oriented attitude, with a willingness to contribute ideas for improvements in the installation process.
