Within the ‘baggage drop-off’ area at Schiphol, you are the key coordinator. As a Ground Steward(ess) BagDrop, you are the face of Scarabee, and with a welcoming smile, you oversee the self-service baggage handling process. A minor issue? You’re the first to spot it and fix it. Larger issues are reported to the Service Team.
Your Responsibilities
- Assisting and proactively approaching passengers when needed during the ‘baggage drop-off’ process (e.g., ensuring correct placement of suitcases, answering questions, etc.)
- Independently resolving minor BagDrop issues and maintenance tasks
- Reporting larger issues to the Service Team
- Documenting the tasks you’ve completed

You’ll encounter passengers from all over the world. You’re social, empathetic, helpful, and you have a good command of both Dutch and English. Furthermore, you have a service-oriented attitude, always striving to deliver the highest possible quality.
You thrive in a hectic environment! If something goes wrong, you stay calm, take proactive action, and find a fitting solution. Our BagDrop units are located in all the departure halls at Schiphol, so you’ll be covering a lot of ground. Your step count will be off the charts. You can work independently, and as a flexible person, you don’t mind working irregular shifts. In fact, you enjoy the variety. You understand the importance of being presentable and wear your uniform with pride.
Requirements:
- Minimum age of 18
- Good command of Dutch and English
- Ability to reach Schiphol day and night
- Good physical condition; you can walk long distances
- No objections to working irregular shifts
- Experience in a service-oriented role is a plus
- Lastly, you must be able to provide a Certificate of No Objection.
