Join us as a Junior Electrical Engineer in the dynamic world of airports!
Are you ready to grow with us at Scarabee? As a Junior Electrical Engineer, you’ll be part of a team of around five people within the Engineering department, which includes Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Project Engineering. You’ll work closely with Mechanical and Project Engineers and collaborate extensively with the Software and Service & Maintenance departments. Together, you design, maintain, and modify our high-end products, handle new product development, tackle technical challenges, and update our products globally.

Your responsibilities:
As a Junior Electrical Engineer, you play a crucial role in product development. This includes:

  • Assisting in the design, proposal, and development of new solutions/systems for products.
  • Performing electrical calculations under the guidance of senior engineers.
  • Assisting in the design of control cabinets.
  • Updating and maintaining databases.
  • Compiling electronic drawing packages based on layout drawings and functional specifications.
  • Standardizing electrical drawings.
  • Keeping databases up to date with the latest revisions.
  • Working according to the latest applicable standards.

Key activities:

  • Drafting functional and technical specifications for electrical work.
  • Writing manuals for new and existing products based on new designs or modifications.
  • Assisting in the electrical design of systems and machines to be delivered.
  • Independently compiling the functional specification of the electrical drawing package, separate from the layout drawing.
  • Researching (international) NEN, ISO, and UL legislation and regulations.
  • Preparing projects for execution.

Who you are:

  • MBO+ or HBO degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Some experience with E-plan and project-based work is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving approach.
  • Proficient in both Dutch and English.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office.
  • A team player who can also work independently.
  • Quick to adapt and able to align individual and team interests.
  • Eager to learn and committed to mastering complex processes.
  • Driven, structured, creative, and versatile.
  • Most importantly: you enjoy taking both yourself and our products to the next level!
