Your role

As Manager Software, you will be responsible for the development and delivery of high-quality software solutions within the Scarabee product portfolio. You will lead and develop a team of software engineers, ensuring that our software solutions are innovative, scalable, and future-proof. Additionally, you will play a key role in designing and managing IT infrastructures for client implementations.

You will report directly to the Director Technology and collaborate closely with departments such as Product Management, Engineering, and Project Management.

What you will do

  • Develop and implement the software strategy in line with business objectives.
  • Oversee software project progress, set priorities, and ensure efficient resource allocation.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of software engineers while fostering a positive work culture.
  • Implement and improve development processes such as Agile, Scrum, and DevOps.
  • Select technologies, frameworks, and tools to ensure software performance, security, and scalability.
  • Act as a bridge between the software department and other teams while reporting on progress and challenges.
  • Manage budgets and optimize costs without compromising innovation.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and implement security and continuity measures.

Who you are

  • You hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • You have at least 7 years of experience in software development, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
  • You have experience in an IT, service, or project organization (experience in the aviation industry is a plus).
  • You have knowledge of software architecture, cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP), CI/CD, Git, and software security.
  • You have experience with data management and analytics for data-driven decision-making.
  • You are a strong leader who can motivate, guide, and develop a team.
  • You have experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and project management.
  • You communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders and are fluent in Dutch and English, both spoken and written.
